Rebel woman

Rebel Woman front cover. A blond, short-haired woman stands behind and gazes at a brunette woman who looks out at the reader. The brunette woman is in the center of the image holding a rifle with both hands, the rifle pointing up to the left of the image. The wind blows on her hair from the right. Both women wear military uniforms and stand in front of a house with lights glowing through its windows, and in front of a palm. The brunette's blouse's collar is half-unbuttoned from the top, showing cleavage. The blonde's pants are rolled to the knees, and she is not wearing boots. The scene is lit from the front right.

Golden cage (The)

The Golden Cage Front cover. A single nude woman, seemingly sitting over her bent knees, in profile, is looking away from the reader. She has her right arm raised, palm up and relaxed. Her left side is seen, almost centred in the space, beneath what appear to be tall grasses bordering a body of water, such as a lake. Her eyes are closed, her nose touching her raised arm. Her hair seems to be tied up in a bun behind her head. Her left arm is stretched downwards behind her. There are yellow lines and dots of many colours drawn next to the book title, which is in the right of the image. A double-exposure makes part of the image look faded. The scene is lit from the left.

Trio

Trio front cover. The cover illustration is centered under the book title forming a black stripe on a white background. A blond woman wearing a lowcut black blouse is at the forefront of the image. She is looking directly at the reader. Behind her are the partially visible images of a dark-haired woman and a man, facing opposite directions gazing downward. The woman is wearing red straps with her arms and back exposed. The man is in shadows.

Women's barracks

Women's Barracks front cover. A blonde, seemingly sitting down, is shown, from the top of her back upwards, at a three-quarter angle and in profile, showing her right shoulder and part of her right arm and the top of her back. Her hair is tied up with a hair clip at the top of her head and flows down to her nape. A strap of her brassiere is visible over her right shoulder. Her head, turned to her right, partially faces the reader. Her eyes are looking down toward her right. What seems to be a khaki military garment is partially shown, wrinkled, behind her back. Behind the blonde, to the left of the image, stands a brunette in profile, also at a three-quarter angle towards the back of the image, facing left. She has on a khaki military shirt that partially hangs, disclosing her shoulders and the top of her back, and exposing the strap of her brassiere on her left side. She seems to be wearing a khaki skirt. Her hair is up and she holds a cigarette in her left hand, which she stares at. The scene is lit from the top left.

Women's Barracks by Tereska Torrės is credited as the first of the mid-century pulp paperbacks to feature a lesbian-themed cover and contain passages…
