The faces and a torso of two women are drawn in ink and coloured separately, one in pink, the other in light blue, and with the solid black of the background to depict the shadowed areas. Third way (The)

The Third Way front cover. A blonde is shown in profile at the center of the image, sitting on the edge of a bed or arm-less couch. The right side of her body faces the reader. Her right knee is bent, foot hanging at the heel from the edge of the bed. She holds a light-blue towel against her naked body, hiding part of her breast, stomach and thigh. Her face is directed toward the reader, but her eyes look to her right, away from the reader. In the background, to the left of the image, stands a brunette with short hair, dressed in a tight, green dress with straps and a V-neck. The dress is knee-high and has a slit over her left thigh. She has her right hand on her hip and puffs from a cigarette held in her left hand, looking straight at the blonde, almost frowning. She is wearing high heels and earrings. The background only shows watery brushstrokes in green and yellow, and the scene is lit from the front left.
